FAQs

Where is DeLuna Wellbeing based?

I have a beautiful log cabin treatment room in my garden in Alloa.
What will happen on my first visit?

If it is your first visit for a treatment, extra time will be scheduled to your appointment to carry out a free consultation. This involves completion of a questionnaire, including details of any current conditions and medications, followed by a discussion. This will ensure that it is safe for you to receive the requested treatment. You will be asked to sign the form to give your consent to treatment. Once we have completed this for your initial appointment, we won't need to do it for any follow-up appointments, however, I will ask you if anything has changed or if there is anything I need to be aware of.
What should I wear for a treatment and will I need to remove clothing?

Come for treatment wearing loose comfortable clothing where possible.

For a Massage you will be asked to remove clothing specific to the requested treatment:
- for a back, neck and shoulders massage you will normally be asked to remove your top, and bra if applicable, however, you can leave your trousers/skirt on provided you won't be uncomfortable.
- for a full body massage you will remove everything except your underwear
For a Holistic Facial or Natural Lift Facial Massage treatment you will normally be asked to remove your top (you can leave your bra on but move the straps down), however, you can leave your trousers/skirt on provided you won't be uncomfortable.

For Indian Head Massage ideally you will come to treatment wearing a strapless top or a thin strapped vest top (straps can be tucked under armpits). Where this is not possible I can provide a towel for you to wrap around your body.
For Reiki/Energy Healing you will not need to remove any clothing as treatment is carried out fully clothed.

For Kinetic Chain Release (KCR) you should wear loose comfortable clothing like a tshirt and leggings/jogging bottoms (not heavy trousers or jeans or strapless/thin strapped vest top). We will be moving through joint/muscle mobilisations and you don't want to be restricted by clothing.
Remember, this is your treatment and it is important that you feel comfortable and are able to relax and enjoy it. If you do not feel comfortable with these options we can discuss alternatives.
Will I have privacy for undressing for a treatment?

Your privacy and dignity will be respected at all times.
Prior to treatment I will explain what to remove and how/where to position yourself on the massage bed under the towels or on the chair for Indian Head Massage. I will then leave the room, or move behind a screen, and allow you to undress and get yourself comfy.
The towels/blankets will keep you warm and covered and only the area of your body that is being worked on will be exposed. During body massage where I need you to turn over from your front to your back, I will hold the towel up to shield you so you can turn over respectfully then place the towel to protect your modesty and dignity.
After the treatment I will leave the room/go behind the screen again to allow you to dress in private.

What is your cancellation policy?

Please see the 'booking and cancellation' page.

How can I pay for treatment?

You can pay by bank transfer in advance of your appointment (preferred method) or I can accept cash on the day of treatment (I reserve the right to ask for 50% of the treatment to be made, at the time of booking. This is non-refundable in the event of a late cancellation within 36 hours.) Please refer to the 'booking and cancellation' page.

How many treatments do I need?

This varies from client to client. Whilst a one-off treatment will benefit you, and bring you a sense of calm and peace, the best results come through having a course of treatments, especially for long-standing conditions.

Are there any health conditions that will prevent me from having treatment?
Please refer to the Booking contra-indications section
Please note my massage bed weight capacity is 159kg/ 25 stone, therefore, I cannot treat any clients over that limit for safety reasons.

Can I have an Indian Head Massage or scalp/face massage if I have hair extensions?

These are not recommended treatments for people with hair extensions - any oils on my hands may damage your extensions and any massage may loosen them. DeLuna Wellbeing does not accept liability for any damage to hair extensions.
