Pregnancy Massage
Traditionally most body massage treatments will involve the client lying prone (face down), allowing the back of the body to be massaged, and then lying supine (face up), allowing the front of the body to be worked on.

With pregnancy massage, the mum-to-be will mostly be lying on their side whilst I massage their back, neck & shoulders, arms & legs. After I have massaged one side I will ask them to turn over to their other side. For a short period near the end they will be asked to lay on their back (with the back rest of the bed raised) so I can massage their lower legs/feet and also upper chest area.

How does pregnancy massage work?

-
It increases blood circulation and lymphatic flow which helps your body to work more efficiently, heal and remove any toxins.
-
It relaxes and refreshes tired and/or knotted muscles
-
It helps your body to produce endorphins - the natural chemicals in your body that make you feel happy

What happens during treatment?
After an initial consultation, I will advise what clothing needs to be removed and how you should lie on the massage table (towels/blankets will be on the bed to cover you). I will then give you privacy to allow you to undress and get onto the massage table.
Relaxing music will be played through the treatment (unless you request otherwise).
I will gently work through a series of movements, adapted to your needs. A treatment will generally last around 70 minutes.
What is the cost?
£55 per treatment
